Scuba Diving is a fun sport... but that doesn't mean divers should not take it seriously. It should be taken as a professional sport where safety is always the top priority... If you are not yet a diver and are planning to get an Open Water Diver license soon, please spend some time understanding what scuba diving is really about. As we mentioned earlier on, scuba diving is fun and we should make it better by being a responsible diver. When you contact the instructors, don't be afraid to throw them with questions as you have to be sure you are paying the right person to teach you skills you may need in life and death situations. Ask them about their experience, philosophies, and teaching styles >> Are they willing to give special attention to someone having trouble? Are they able to translate technical knowledge into memorable lay terms? Do they challenge students to master skills rather than just pass everyone? Prices for certification courses vary because different courses include different things. It's essential to find out what is included in a course because the RM900 course you pay can end up costing more than the RM1400 one. Few things that you should ask about are>> dive manuals and dive tables, log books, equipment, confined pool training, open water dives, the Certification card, on island accomodation, meal and transportations. Again, don't feel bad asking too much questions as the more you ask, the more you'll understand whether what you're paying for is worth the value. If you can't afford private or semi-private lessons, ask the maximum size of a typical class. Remember, smaller classes mean more time spent with individual students, which leads to safer diving. We STRICTLY DO NOT ENCOURAGE students to take a 3-day weekend crash course on island. As a serious diver, it is very important to follow the full course process and syllabus from theory and confined pool training to Open Water Dive. What's important about the training dives in the pool is that it's your opportunity to suit up and get familiar with all the equipment in a contained and supervised setting. The final step on your way to being a scuba diver is to try an open water dive. This is when all your hard work in the classroom and pool is finally put to the test. You will be required to pass a series of open water dives in the open sea. Although you may be in a hurry to get certified before a vacation and the shorter courses are probably cheaper – do you really think you are able to absorb all the knowledge thrown to you in just 3-days, while you know that others take a full 2 months to learn the same skills? And what if, during your 3-days crash course, you failed your theory because you don't have enough time to finish the manual? Do you stay back on the island - which also means paying extra money for extra nights? or, do you return on another trip to complete it - which again, also involves paying that extra cash? You do the maths!

ABOUT PADI DIVE COURSE
PADI Stands for The Professional Association of Diving Instructors. The Association runs a range of courses that are recognized world wide. These range from the basic introduction for beginners (bubble maker) to the most advanced (open water scuba instructor). Diving, the adventure of a lifetime ─ relaxing, action-packed, tranquil, adrenaline pumping, adventurous ─ all this and more, the choice is yours.
Can you imagine being in a tropical location, diving in crystal clear water, surrounded by brightly colored corals and fish. You and your buddy put on your dive equipment, enter the water and begin explore the abundance of marine life ─ all the while hovering weightlessly underwater. Or, you could be off exploring a new shipwreck off the coast of a small island out in the middle of the ocean - where conditions are challenging.
You're ready for anything because you've invested in the right training and have gained valuable hands-on experience. Is being prepared for worth it? You bet!
One of the first things a diver learns is that there are many exciting dive environments that can be enjoyed under the right conditions and with the appropriate training. To help guide you in the right direction, we've listed the PADI programs offered by Titan Dive Team.
