The PADI Discover Scuba Diving programs let you experience the thrill of diving under the supervision of a PADI Instructor in pool or pool like conditions, such as those found at a resort. During your adventure, you'll master some basic concepts and scuba skills and might even head off on an open water adventure.

As soon as you Discover Scuba Diving, you're on your way to an internationally recognized certification. That's because you may learn skills from the PADI Open Water Diver course during your Discover Scuba adventure. If you and your instructor elect to practice these skills, they may be credited to the PADI Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver certifications.

This is one-day program allows you to experience the wonders and delights of the underwater realm even if you have never heard of scuba diving before, under the careful supervision of a professional and qualified instructor you will have an orientation to the basics of the scuba equipment and its use.

What You Learn

You learn the basics you need to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional. One thing you’ll learn is that you really can breathe underwater and whether you like doing that or not. You will:

■ Learn what wearing scuba equipment feels like
and how easy it is to move around underwater
while wearing it

■ Find out what it’s like to breathe underwater and
learn whether you can be comfortable there

■ Learn some basic skills and safety rules that
will carry over to your full scuba certification
course when you take the next step
